I'm a bit early but Happy New Year, everyone! I've been quite busy (and a little sick) lately so that's why a lack of updates. What New Years Resolutions have you made? Have you all met your 2009 Resolutions successfully?
I'm looking forward to many things in 2010, including seeing friends that I have not seen in a long time. We've all been so busy that sadly we haven't had a lot of time for each other. Surely things will slow down in January and February, at least just a little.
On a side note, one of my friends has been promoting this blog so I spent a little time reading it. If you all want to take a look as well, the URL is http://quewantsyounow.blogspot.com/. And speaking of good reads, if any of you are looking for a good book to read, right now I'm obsessed with Going Bovine by Libba Bray. I finished it on Christmas Eve and I was blown away by the ending. Definitely a great read.

Busyness
This week will be full of things to do; appointments to keep, people to see, money to make.
I worked on my story a little bit and I'm pleased by how it's coming along. I actually had a dream about my characters about two days ago. The dream didn't follow the storyline that I have imagined but it was amazing how real they were to me [in the dream] and to see how the interacted with me. Perhaps sometime soon I should post a little more in detail about the characters and the story I'm writing, for now though, I feel like being a little secretive about it. :)
Last week I was rejoicing because I thought, "Yes! I'm finally done with my Christmas shopping!" but at the last minute, I remembered a few people I forgot. (Sorry, sorry!) Today, I was on a mission to finish up and I failed... it's not too bad, though, maybe only one more to go. The gift I bought today was from the COACH store and I was surprised when they gave me a box of nail polish, apparently for every $100 you spend you receive a gratis.

Since I was already out-and-about today, I stopped by the Post Office to pick up a parcel I received from China. I don't know if this is the kind of information I should blog about but I'm trying a diet pill from Japan (Why did the box come from China?!) and I'm very excited about it. It's gotten really great reviews online and I'm always up for trying new things. I also think a part of my upcoming 2010 New Years Resolution will be to attempt being more fit and healthy, this is a great way to kick start it off, right?
If I don't blog again until after Christmas, I hope you all have very happy holidays.

Christmas Love [Re-post, Original post Dec 12]
Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. Why? I suppose there are many reasons. First, because I live in Hawaii, I can appreciate the weather that accompanies Christmas time; it is the only time of the year that I can use an umbrella and coat regularly without getting strange looks from people. Secondly, I love buying gifts for people even though there are times when I can seldom afford it. Third, I just love the cheerful atmosphere that generates around this time of the year--not just the decorations but the way people behave as well--they're jollier and kinder.
I think if only we could merge my love of horror with my love of Christmas, the holiday would be perfect. :) There's nothing I love more than watching truly horrifying things during such a jovial season. I know, it's a bit odd, but ... to each his own, right? Something like the Nightmare Before Christmas would be nice but less Tim Burton-y. I think my ideal Christmas/Halloween movie would be something like, maybe, the Grudge during the Christmas season! Actually come to think of it, there is a movie that's a bit like that.. it's called SHIBUYA KAIDAN. It's a horror story that is a bit Grudge-esque. Basically, a mother who didn't want her baby anymore stuffed it in a locker in Shibuya and now that locker is cursed! The movie, Shibuya Kaidan, takes place during the holiday season. In the movie, there is an urban legend that goes, "If you put a gift in this locker at xxx then the person the gift is intended for will fall in love with you!" But sadly, the locker in question is the cursed baby locker! Spooky! The girl ghost in question is quite like the ghost from the Grudge and that gives me goosebumps all over; it's SO creepy! Some people might just like this movie though, because it features an actor from Deathnote...his part is a little small but I think whoever has watched the live action Deathnote movie will recognize him immediately.

Anyway, I suppose I got a little off topic because I had really wanted to blog about my love of Christmas time but I couldn't resist suggesting a great horror movie set in the holiday season. If any of you get around to watching this, let me know, I'm sure you'll like it and even if it's not scary enough for you, at the very least you will get a good laugh out of it.(*≧▽≦)
Happy Holidays, Everyone! I'll be posting again at least once more before Christmas!

Writing [Re-post, Original post Dec 9]
Last night I continued writing a bit of my book. I reviewed what I had written previously and I fell in love with my characters all over again. Sometimes I worry that my protagonist is going to be perceived as a "Mary Sue" but that wasn't my intention at all, yet, at the same time I don't want to do a re-write unless I have to because this story is like my baby. (‐ω‐;;) When it's done, I'm going to submit to a publisher or agent.
In addition to writing my book, I've been reading Going Bovine by Libba Bray. It is my opinion that Libba Bray is a bloody brilliant writer. I've read the entire series of A Great and Terrible Beauty and in fact I bought the other two books in the series (Rebel Angels and The Sweet Far Thing) that I didn't own yet this week. Fantastic! So far this book is pretty funny and I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for a book with a sense of humor.
You can purchase it by going into your local Borders or online at Borders.com

Hello ~ ! [Re-post, Original Post Dec 6]
I previously used a different URL [http://luv-yuu.blogspot.com] but I changed it due to not liking the e-mail I signed up with. I know it's a little silly but it was a little too tedious for me to deal with. Therefore all posts will now be made at http://yuu-love.blogspot.com.
I don't know how to re-up posts from an old blogger so I'll just manually copy/paste my posts. Luckily, I've only done three up 'til now. :)
Hello, everyone! I'm YUU and this is my blog where I'll write about anything ranging from my shopping to my feelings and what is going on in my life. I'm currently writing a science fiction/young adult novel which I hope to have published in the next year or two but we'll see 〜 ♥♥

Today I did some Christmas shopping which was a little successful and I also went to an autograph signing of a famous person, Maureen McCormick! Maureen played Marcia Brady on the Brady Bunch which I watched growing up, even though it was a television show from my mom's generation. I think that I rather prefer the older tv programming over what's on tv now days... but I do like Roseanne which is a 90's television show and True Blood, which definitely wouldn't have been acceptable on TV when my mom was a child.
These are some of the things I got today. I'm especially excited about that $5 horror DVD from Walmart. (*^▽^) I also got some things free from the Sanrio store, the cute hello kitty pouch in the middle of the picture and the folder with the apples all over were gwp. Today was definitely a fulfilling shopping day. :9
